STYLESOFASBEDS LTD · CUSTOMER INFORMATION
STYLESOFASBEDS LTD is responsible for the personal information collected through this store. Contact us using the details below about privacy or your data rights.
1. Information we use
When you place an order, we collect information such as your name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, ordered items and payment status. Account holders also have account and order history information. Contact enquiries include the information you submit. Newsletter sign-ups contain your email and consent. The website and its service providers may process IP addresses, device details and technical logs for operation, security and fraud prevention.
2. Why we use it
We use order and delivery information to perform our contract with you. We use enquiry information to respond to your request, relying on steps before a contract or our legitimate interest in customer service. Security and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. We retain necessary transaction records to meet legal accounting and tax obligations. Newsletter marketing relies on your consent; you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe option in a marketing email.
3. Payments and service providers
Stripe processes payment information and may carry out authentication and fraud checks. We receive payment status and limited transaction information, not your full card number or security code. Read Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Hosting, email and delivery providers receive the information needed to operate the store, respond to enquiries and deliver orders. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Maps, cookies and saved favourites
The location section embeds Google Maps, which loads as you reach that section. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies; see Google’s Privacy Policy. Essential shopping and security cookies support the basket, checkout and sign-in. Saved favourites use your browser’s local storage. See our Cookie Policy.
5. International processing and security
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where applicable, transfers require an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. We use access controls and secure connections, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Necessary accounting records may be retained for six years; longer retention applies only where justified by law or an ongoing dispute. Enquiries are retained while needed to resolve and evidence the matter. Newsletter details are retained until consent is withdrawn or the list is no longer used; a minimal suppression record may be kept to respect an opt-out.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact support@stylesofasbeds.co.uk. We may need proportionate identity checks and normally respond within one month, subject to permitted extensions. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
8. Updates
We may update this notice when the way the store operates changes. Contact us if you need the notice in another accessible format.
Store chat
If you choose to chat, we store your messages privately in WordPress so our support team can respond. Do not send payment card details, passwords or sensitive documents. A temporary conversation key in your browser session lets you view your replies on this device for up to seven days. Messages are used for customer support and retained only while needed to resolve and evidence your enquiry. You can request access or deletion using our contact details above.
